Is my donation secure?

The security and confidentiality of your information is our top priority. The Julia Hanna Campaign uses industry-standard SSL (secure socket layer) technology to keep your personal information secure. Whenever you see 'https’ in the address bar at the top of your browser this means that you are in a secure session and that all information exchanged is encrypted. All credit card information is securely transmitted to industry leading credit card processors for processing. We do not retain any of your credit card information after your transaction has been completed.

What shows up on my credit card statement?

Contributions will appear as ‘Julia Hanna Campaign'.

Will I receive a tax receipt?

A:

Campaign contributions to municipal and school board campaigns cannot be credited against provincial or federal income taxes. This is by Ontario Government law.

Is my donation tax deductible?

A:

Contributions to municipal council and school board campaigns cannot be credited against provincial or federal income taxes.

Are Corporations or Trade Unions Allowed to Make Donations?

A:

No. Recent Ontario Government Municipal Campaign Finance changes prohibit donations from corporations or unions.

What is the donation limit?

A:

The donation limit is $1,200 per person and each person is allowed to donate a total of $5,000 any combination of municipal candidates.

Do I have to live in Oakville to Donate?

A:

Any person who typically resides in Ontario can donate to help Julia win the election in Oakville.
